Origin

The V60 brewer was invented by Hario Company during 2004, the ceramic brewer mostly is made by elegant conical shape and it’s still now one of the most popular alternative brewers in coffee industry.

Hario designed, after several number of experiments, a parabolic shape in order to achieve a cleaner-tasting experience by allowing water to pass through the grounds.

V60 name come from V Letter and relative 60 degrees shape. The original ceramic V60 was made using Arita Jaki, high quality porcelain method with 400 years’ experience; the V60 is still produced in the town of Arita following the same standard.

Today the brewer has been produced in various materials, including glass, metal, plastic, copper to satisfy an increasingly growing market.
